One of our favorite things about Mazda cars is how many options they offer. When you shop at Heritage Mazda Towson, you'll see that our models offer a variety of trim levels and additional features to choose from, but one new Mazda car gives you a particularly important decision to make. The 2020 Mazda3 is a great car, but how do you decide between the sedan or the hatchback?

MAZDA3 Sedan

The 2020 Mazda3 Sedan comes standard with in-car tech like an 8.8-inch display, Driver Attention Warning, and a Lane Departure Warning. Upgrading to the Select trim level gets you some extra features, including Blind Spot Monitoring and Apple CarPlay™. Then higher trim levels, like Preferred and Premium, offer more luxury and even more technology. The 2020 Mazda3 Sedan is powered by a 2.5-liter engine that produces 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, and drivers can add in i-Activ AWD® as well. The sedan model also offers 13.2 cubic feet of cargo room.

MAZDA3 Hatchback

764 × 450

The hatchback version of this new Mazda model offers the same power options and i-Activ AWD®, but there are some key differences to remember. The 2020 Mazda3 Hatchback offers more cargo space, 20.1 cubic feet in total, and fewer trim levels. The base hatchback is equivalent to the Select sedan, in terms of features and tech offered. Upgrading to the Preferred trim level on either model nets you extras like heated front seats and a Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system, while the top of the line Premium offers leather seating, a moonroof, and an adaptive front-lighting system.

Which model you prefer can come down to how many trim level choices you would like to have, how much cargo space you need, or simple stylistic preferences. Whether you opt for the sedan or the hatchback, the 2020 Mazda3 is a capable car with plenty to offer. Talk to one of our Mazda dealers serving Baltimore today and ask about this fun-to-drive Mazda model. We look forward to assisting you!
