Here at Heritage Mazda Towson, we have some exciting news for Mazda enthusiasts. An all-new Mazda model, the 2022 Mazda MX-30, will be arriving on our new car lot in the coming weeks. The most exciting part is that this new Mazda SUV will be the automaker’s first-ever all-electric SUV, and it is a reflection of Mazda’s commitment to sustainability.
Here is everything our Maryland Mazda dealers know about this upcoming SUV.
Powertrain and Performance
The all-electric Mazda MX-30 will come packed with a 143-horsepower electric motor that drives the front wheels. Coming next year will be a plug-in hybrid version that will pair an electric motor with a rotary gasoline engine, which means that all-wheel-drive will be a possibility.
Mazda’s all-new electrification technology offers a smooth and seamless performance while directly responding to the driver’s intentions. Additionally, the electric G-Vectoring Control Plus delivers precise and responsive steering to form a strong connection between car and driver.
Mazda estimates that the driving range for the upcoming 2022 Mazda MX-30 will be around 100 miles per charge. The battery will be capable of charging on standard AC power as well as more modern and faster DC chargers.
Sustainable Interior
The cabin of the 2022 Mazda MX-30 stands out from the competition thanks to its use of natural and sustainable materials such as cork and breathable fabric upholstery made from recycled plastic bottles. Additionally, there will be a long list of standard tech features, such as:
- Seven-inch digital gauge display
- Power sunroof
- Auto-dimming rearview mirror
- 8.8-inch infotainment screen
- Backup camera
- Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity
Here at Heritage Mazda Towson, we expect the 2022 Mazda MX-30 to hit our lot sometime this fall.
